Design looks at the aesthetic and functional aspects of product creation to find that which resonates with its intended users, while marketing identifies the consumer needs, benefit message, and placement required to make it successful.  Through this symbiotic relationship, opportunity can be found.

The Author:  Jeffrey Supernavage is an MBA student at Rutgers Business School concentrating in marketing and entrepreneurship.  He has six years of professional work experience in the areas of operations management, financial services, sales, and industrial design.  His diverse set of analytical, creative, and leadership skills has generated a proven track record of problem solving and operational improvement accomplishments.  Jeffrey graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Industrial Design, and will finish his MBA in May of 2011 from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
